DIRECTIONS
Peel the potatoes breaking the pieces, not cutting (this allows the potato starch to thicken the broth). Poach the chopped onion and garlic in a pot with a splash of olive oil. Add the sliced chorizo, potatoes, bay leaf, paprika and veggie broth, salt and pepper. Cook slowly at a low heat until the potatoes are fully cooked adding extra broth if necessary. Tip: move the pot while the stew is cooking so as to help the starch thicken the broth.

A special line, featuring wines that are born from the terroir, with microvinifications in large barrels differentiated by estate and an ageing process in French oak. In this way, only small-scale productions, which the land produces with each vintage, come onto the market. This is how Valdelacierva Grano a Grano (or grain by grain) is born; in essence it emerges from the “La Botija” estate with its own unique characteristics -a harvesting process that begins out in the estate, destemming grape by grape and grain by grain in the winery- and eventually grows into a wine.
A unique estate “La Pedriza” with only one variety – Garnacha – producing 1997 bottles of Tudelilla (Rioja Baja) .
The line of work we started several years ago has as main goal to work in two lines in the making process of its wines; the first one is referred to meet the expectations of the consumers who look for easy-drinking and uncomplicated wines; and the second one, a more special line, of wines which are born from the terroir, with microvinifactions in large barrels that allow the elaboration of wines differentiated by estates and aged in French oak. In this way, only small-scale productions, which the land produces with each vintage, come onto the market. This is how Valdelacierva Garnacha is born; which by its owne essence it emerges from the “La Pedriza” estate with unique characteristics – with a harvesting process that begins in the estate and continues on the winery, where it grows as wine.
With a very attractive dense violet colour, on the nose it is characterized by fresh aromas with balsamic hints, with an explosion of fresh red berries and a marked mineral finish. Silky and soft in the palate with a nice walk in the mouth and it doesn’t leave any of its consumers indifferent.
Moreover, it carries the simplest label where only appears the brand name without any other distracting elements. In fact, it is the sense of touch which is the main protagonist here, playing an excellent role that in a special way portrays the sense of touching the land and all the primary elements involved in the process of creating this special vintage.

2012 Bodegas Valdelacierva, Rioja, Spain
Those who like big, lush reds no matter what they’re eating will no doubt enjoy this undervalued bottle just released in Vintages. This stellar oak-aged Tempranillo exudes warm aromas of stewed cherries and vanilla bean then swathes the palate with cashmere flavours of sweet macerated berries, toasted nut, warm toffee, cherry and blueberry. It’s quite a characterful, smart wine that is well worth snapping up.

Only one Verdejo Spanish wine have been selected and the magazine puts this Rueda in a privileged position within the Spanish Wines range and it also puts Hispanobodegas on an upward path because of the quality of its wines.
12 Linajes Verdejo is defined by the plublication Wine Enthusiast as “verdejo hists the sweet spot, with a crisp nose focused on green-apple aromas. The palate has a free-flowing feel and well-presented flavors of apple, peach and melon. An easyfading finish ends this well”.
This Weekend, has been held in the town of Yecora the XXIV wine competition of the vintage festival of Rioja Alavesa and where Valdelacierva Rose has won the first prize in “Rosados.” Catergory wines. This Galardon is very important for us as it is open to the wines of the three zones that make up the Denomination of Origin Ca. Rioja (Alta, Baja and Alavesa), which means that we have been chosen the best Rose wine in a blind tasting. In addition to this, the anonymous presentation of the wine is ensured, since it is possible to eliminate even the cork.

Vineyards and Bodegas Gormaz the winery of Ribera del Duero of the Group Hispanobodegas present their wines as ideal foods for the consumption of the vegans. Can Vegans Drink Wine? To know the answer first you have to know more about them.
* The name “vegano” comes from the anglisian “vegan” created from the “veganian”

* In their diet, vegans are strictly vegetarian and completely exclude any animal products.
